Orphan Cars
Had an email conversation a while back with Jesse of Just a Car Guy blog about the incredible number of American automobile manufacturers there were back in the day. Specifically how hard it is to identify pictures of the hundreds of look-alike makes and their thousands of similar models. That made this page from the November, 1921 issue of Motor Record magazine all the more poignant. It is a listing of the defunct car makes as of that date, and the purpose was to direct the owners of the now orphaned cars to parts suppliers now that the factory support was gone.
